About the work carried out by the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan

State Committee on Geology and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan is actively implementing the assignments and instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan during his visit to the Republic of Karakalpakstan. In particular, the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources is implementing a series of measures to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On current problems in the socio-economic development of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the measures to be taken to address them".

It is well-known that today, the State Geological Committee, which carries out geological exploration in two directions in the north of the country, has undertaken the task of determining the depth of groundwater deployment for large-scale hydro-geological conditions for houses constructed on the territory of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. In addition, drilling works are underway to explore the mineralization and lithological structure of the groundwater and surface layer.

The first well was removed from the first well at the Çagala massif in the eastern part of the former Borsakelmas Island, more than 200 kilometers northwest of Muynak.
"Southern Aral Sea Basin subsoil waters cover Chimbay, Takhtakupir and Karauzak districts. Such aquatic eyes were found in these areas as well. The Southern Aral Sea Arctic Basin can be used as a drinking water by filling groundwater with special equipment. At present, the population uses water with such equipment in Chimbay, Karauzak, Takhtakupir districts, "said Shavkat Olimov, head of the Aral Sea Hydro-geological Expedition at the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources.

The State Hydrometeorology Department of the State Hydrometeorology Department of the Aral Sea Hydrogeological Expedition plans to open 50 such water bodies in the Muynak district in the Vozrozhdenie Island, Surgil and Aiantai regions this year. This is the first time that the opening of the water source will allow the development of livestock in northern Karakalpakstan.

Also, the geological study of the drainage of the Southern Aral Sea in 2021-2023 was also considered as a separate program.

The importance of the underground water resources discovered by geologists in the improvement of the ecological situation in the oblasts of the Republic of Uzbekistan is very important for the people of our country.
